More detail painting. I had used a dremel to lightly burr and ding the surface before painting, I think it came out OK. As per Bryan's excellent suggestion, added some whitish pigment to accent the burn area. I am still unsure of the yellow cable sticking out. I wanted a FEW areas of color, but it may be too harsh? suggestions?

damn, I just sprayed for spider heads...how do they get in?

The bulk of the painting on the Neuspotter is done. Now it's just the zillion tiny details, hoses, wires, pigments....Then I get to start on the AFS. I keep thinking I need to add a small arm...
clutching a stick... covered in rubble on the back....LOL. Maybe...

closer to getting the groundwork done. I realize that the spotter does not really push up close enough to the ground, like it would if it was an impact. I think the easier thing will be to let this dry overnight, then push in with a little bit more groundwork, so it really "seats" into the crash area.

I've finally started on the groundwork. Its a mix of celluclay, kitty litter and chips from balsa foam. The foam makes for some really interesting rock shapes when scraped and has the side benefit of light weight.I'm thinking sandish colors for the base, a rocky desert look. This is the tentative arrangement with the AFS. One question, should Eddy stay or go?

I started the repaint process. Changed up the camo. I still need to decal it and then start HEAVY weathering.
